Womans body found in water off Bondi Beach

A WOMAN’S body has been found in waters off Sydney’s Bondi Beach, with police appealing for public help to identify her.

Witnesses brought the body to shore at the southern end of the beach at around 9.30pm on Saturday but police and ambulance paramedics called to the scene were unable to revive the woman. After conducting a search of the area, police failed to find any possessions that may have belonged to the woman.

She was found wearing a dark-coloured short-sleeved top, black shorts and socks, and a pair of purple New Balance trainers.

She is described as being of Asian appearance and about 25 to 30 years old with short, black hair.

Police have established a crime scene but say the woman’s death at this stage is not being treated as suspicious.
