Olivia Smoliga is an American competition swimmer who specializes in freestyle events and backstroke. At present, she represents the Cali Condors who are part of the International Swimming League.

Smoliga also won gold in the freestyle relay of 4100 meters, silver in the 50-meter backstroke (in which she set the American record), and bronze in the medley relay of 4100 meters. At the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials, qualifying for the 2012 Olympics, Smoliga missed the Olympic team by finishing fourth in the 100-meter backstroke (1:00.46) and twenty-third in the 50-meter freestyle (25.66) During the semifinals, Smoliga swam for the first time a personal best of 59.82 smashing the one-minute long course barrier. Smoliga smashed the national high school records in both 100-yard backstroke (51.43) and 50-yard freestyle (21.99) at November 2012 Illinois State High School Championships.

Smoliga won a total of four medals at her first major international competition, the 2012 FINA Short Course World Championships in Istanbul: two gold, one silver, and one bronze. Smoliga shocked the field in the 100-meter backstroke final, winning gold in a time of 56.64 swimming off lane 1. Smoliga had the fastest split in the field over the last 50 meters, with a time of 29.74. Olivia is the reigning US record holder in the 50-meter (short course) backstroke. She won a gold medal for swimming in the preliminary heat of the 4×100 meter medley relay at the 2016 Summer Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro.

Olivia was a part of the inaugural International Swimming League representing the Cali Condors in 2019 who placed third in the final match in December in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a top 10 point winner winning several events for the season including the 50 back in the final.
